"A Remedy for Itching Ears" is written to address an ever-increasing problem in the Christian church of today; namely Christians who are uneducated or undereducated about their own faith and doctrinal beliefs. If the level of Christian Education in the church is to improve, the foundational basics of the formal doctrines of the church must be reinterpreted and in some cases rewritten in order to speak to contemporary believers in the church who have been conditioned to communicate with contemporary language, symbols and illustrations.
This book takes on the ambitious challenge of rewriting a classic doctrinal document known as the Articles of Faith using contemporary language in order to communicate the substance of the doctrinal teachings to a new generation of believers in the church. A user-friendly approach is utilized to teach each Article of Faith using Bible Studies written from a contemporary perspective that were actually presented in a contemporary church setting.

Further, the book presents other studies of additional prominent doctrinal themes and issues that are currently at the forefront of doctrinal discussions in the contemporary church.

Author Bio: Dr. Jesse T. Williams, Jr. is the Senior Pastor of the Convent Avenue Baptist Church in Harlem, New York. He holds the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from the Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri and has more than 21 years of Pastoral Ministry experience. He has also previously served on the faculty of Eden Theological Seminary as Professor of Congregational Studies for 7 years. His ministry of preaching and teaching inspires many people across the country in both the church and the seminary on a weekly basis via television, radio and internet.
